Chancellor

Pance Jovanovski, PhD

The chancellor is a managing body of the University chosen from the line of the full professors, with a mandate of four years, and a right to be elected one more time, on a proposition of the Board of Directors. Chancellor of the University is PhD Pance Jovanovski. The Chancellor represents and supports the University in the country and abroad.

Performance of the duty Chancellor is not connected to performing any other state function or a function in a political party. There are one or more Vice-chancellors in the University, who are chosen from the line of the ones who have teaching-scientific titles, and by a proposition of the Board of Directors, in a way and procedure defined by the Statute of the University. The Vice-chancellor of the University is professor Aleksa Stamenkovski.

The Chancellor within the limits of managing with the University carries out the decisions and the conclusions of the University Senate and The Board of Directors, coordinates the activities at the University like the high education, the art, the scientific- research activity, the applicative activity and the other activities, submits suggestions and decisions to the Senate, other general acts and conclusions for issues which are reviewed and for which a decision is made by the Senate, gives an initiative for convening The Senate, promotes PhDs and brings an instruction for the way and the procedure of promoting PhDs, awards prizes at the University, in agreement with the Board of Directors, directs the international cooperation at the University and initiates cooperation with other Universities in the country and abroad, initiates cooperation among the faculties, high technical schools, scientific institutions and accompanying members within the University and mediates among them when it is necessary, signs the certificates with a degree of qualifications, together with the Dean of the appropriate faculty, suggests editor-in-chief, editor and associates of the newspapers that are published by the University, performs other activities defined by The Law and this Statute and the other acts of the University.

The obligation of the Faculties within the University , by a request from the Chancellor, is to inform him for all the issues that are in the interest of accomplishing the goals and tasks of the University and to enable access to all documents from their activities and performance.

The Chancellor’ obligation is to submit a report to the Senate and to the Founder for the activities of the University and its performance, at least once a year.

The Chancellor is responsible for the legitimacy and the statutory of the work of the University and the statutory of the work of the Faculties within the University, according to the rights and the obligations undertaken by the Statute of the University.

The Chancellor is in charge and he is entitled to prevent legal enactment at the University and the Faculties within it, for he considers to be contradictory to the Law, to the Statute, to a general act or a decision of the University.

The Chancellor can authorize certain Vice-chancellors for performing part of its rights and obligations.
