
The Dean is a managing body of the faculty s/he has been appointed to and is authorized to present and represent this faculty, in the country and abroad, as an organizational unit of the University in the field of education, in accordance with the Managing Board. The Dean is assisted in his work by one or two Vice-deans. Performing the duty of a Dean or a Vice-deans cannot be combined with holding a state function or a function in a political party.
The Dean’s Authorities
As part of his managing duties, the Dean:
The Dean’s duty is to submit a report to the Teaching-Scientific Council, the Chancellor and the Board of Directors for her/his work at least once a year. The Dean is responsible for the legality and the statutory framework of the Teaching-Scientific Council’s operations and is entitled as well as obliged to prevent any legal enactment of a general act for which s/he considers to be contrary to the Laws, the Statute of EURM and the decisions of the Managing Board. The Dean’s rejection of a general act and his/her decision is repealed if s/he fails to within one month from this rejection initiate a procedure before the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia for a review of constitutionality and legality. The Dean authorizes the Vice-Deans to undertake some of his/her duties.
