

Her art education started at the High School of Applied Arts in Skopje.
In 1997 she graduated at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, Painting and Fashion Design course.
She holds an MA degree in Design Studies from ‘Central Saint Martins’ College of Art and Design, London, UK.
Working on a MA thesis titled “Cosmonationals vs. Governments: How can we design a creative future for nationality and citizenship in a competitive world without borders?”
Vrencoska widened her interests in design into the socio-political domain, focusing on nationality and national identities as a creative processes. Coming up with a controversial proposal for a new British national symbol, she attracted the interest of media and joined a public debate on multiculturalism on BBC3.
Since 2006 Gordana Vrencoska lectures at the European University in Skopje, Faculty of Art and Design, where she teaches Design Methodology, Visual Communication and Graphic Design Basics.
Working as a Group Account Director in McCann-Erickson Skopje 1997-2004, she has created and managed campaigns for renowned international brands: Nestle, Nescafe, Opel, Siemens, Durex among others.
Vrencoska has led design workshops for British Council’s summer school as part of their Youth program 2004 – 2007.
She also served as Artistic Director for Applied Arts for the XIV Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean – Skopje 2009.
Vrencoska has mounted 7 solo exhibitions and has participated in fashion shows and group exhibitions in Macedonia, Britain, Poland, Italy, Slovenia and Germany. Vrencoska designed the visual identity of Skopje Jazz Festival 2002, Skopje Film Festival 2008 and XIV Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean – Skopje 2009. She has taken part in numerous art, design and advertising conferences and symposiums all around Europe.

She has written texts for RED magazine, treating design themes in her column called REDesign.
She has been awarded the prestigious Chevening scholarship of the UK’ Foreign & Commonwealth Office and several grants from Soros and Pro Helvetia foundations.
Vrencoska won the Twinings Hat Design Competition in the UK, 2005. By the American magazine Womans’ Day the Twinings hat was listed in the 14 most outrageous hats worn at horse races till the present day.
