

Kokalevski graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Skopje in 1975.
He completed his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade in 1981, submitting an MA thesis titled: Quality of Rural and Urban Environment. In 1993 he finalized his PhD studies at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje, with a doctoral dissertation titled: Low Terraced Structures on Sloppy Ground.
His working experience extends for more than 32 years.
He started his career in 1975 as an Assistant at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje.
From 1980 -1982 he worked as a counsellor on Urban Planning in the Committee for Environmental Protection.
From 1982 - 2000, he was assigned an Adviser, also a Head of Department
A special area of scientific interest is the systematic approach to space arrangement and environmental quality. He has participated in more than 20 national and international architectural competitions, including some in Japan, France, Philippine, and the Former Yugoslav Republics; carried out over 10 architectural projects for buildings, published over 10 articles in specialized journals, 2 books and more than 10 analytical study papers on the quality of the living space. He took part in numerous architectural exhibitions.
He is the co-author of the patent concept - Seismic Protection Design - ALSC (Almost Lifted Structure Concept) System.
