

Assistant Professor Dr. Stojan Slaveski is teaching Security System and EU – history, institutions and relations at the Fist Private University -European University of the Republic of Macedonia in Skopje. Dr. Slaveski received his Ph.D. in defense and peace studies from the “Sent Kiril and Metodij” University in Skopje in 2001. He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Nis-Serbia since 1995 and attended the Staff College at Military Academy General Mihailo Apostolski - Skopje in 1997-1998. In 2007 he was elected as an assistant professor at the Military Academy in the area of Leadership and management. Since 1 October 2008 he has been working at the Faculty of Detectives and Criminology as assistant professor in the subject Security Systems. And since 2009/2010 he is teaching EU – history, institutions and relations at the Faculty for political Science.
Prior to become a member of European University team, he was a Professor at the Military Academy in Skopje, Director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information (the National Security Authority in the international context) and he served as a military officer in the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
Dr. Slaveski actively participated at many international activities such as seminars, workshops, conferences and meetings. He completed many international courses regarding international relations and security, among others he graduated from the Executive Program in International and Security affairs and Senior Executive Seminar at the George C. Marshall Center for Security Studies in Garmish-Partenkirchen and General/Flag Officers’ Course at the NATO Defense College in Rome.. His current research interests focus on security sector reforms, conflict resolution, information management, regional security, national security and Euro-Atlantic integration’s. Dr. Slaveski published four books titled: Security System, The National Security of the Republic of Macedonia and Euro-Atlantic Integrations, (co-author) European Union Through the Prism of European Security and (co-author) Interests of the Republic of Macedonia in NATO membership. His research has been published in many home and foreign magazines.
He is Marshal Center Scholar and President of Marshall Center Alumni Association in Macedonia.
