

Aleksa Stamenkoski was born on 11 January 1952 in Vitolista, Prilep. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Skopje in 1974. He finished his Master Studies from the area of Marketing in 1986 at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje. He obtained his PhD degree in 1992 at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje too.
He had a working experience of 29 years in the sphere of administrative issues related to Defense, its budgeting, planning, management and strategic planning. During this working period he worked as a Head of the Defense planning department, advisor and assistant to the Republic defense secretary, vice secretary at the Ministry of Defense, advisor at the Government of Republic of Macedonia, Deputy and Head at the Directorate of Intelligence, Head of the Crisis Management Centre and Professor at the Military Academy and the Faculty of Philosophy – Defense and Peace Studies Institute (visiting professor).
He was elected a full- time professor at the European University Republic of Macedonia Skopje in 2005, where he is currently a Vice-chancellor at the European University.
He has published a large number of books and scientific works.
