The Faculty of Political Sciences has been drafted according to the most modernised trends in the field of politicology and associated social sciences, in order to follow the progress of the politics and the modern civilisation which aims at higher levels of democratic way of living. The mission of the Faculty of political sciences is to create studies which will enable deep knowledge of the political science, with an ability to study and analyse political phenomenon and to shed light over its secrets. The Faculty of Political Sciences within the European University – Republic of Macedonia enables wider knowledge from the field of politicology, and from other areas as well such as: communication, economics, law and sociology. During the undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences, the political phenomenon has been thoroughly studied, its determination and influence on the social system. Special emphasis has been placed on the politics, on the analysis of its tissue, its shapes of existence and function, mutual relationship of the widely branched political organism and its segments parts.
After the students complete the three year study programme, those who manage to graduate will be capable of expert, analytical and competent to deal with activities and issues within the framework of state government organs, in political institutions and market oriented organisations and institutions, in associations of citizens, in forms of civil participation and civil society, in international institutions and their representatives in the country, in European institutions and organisations. During year 4 and 5, the teaching process would be accomplished within three study sections: applied politics, international relations, diplomacy and communication and media.
Faculty imperative is to monitor, to study and to share knowledge from the area of politics, international relations and diplomacy, as well as from the area of communication and media and to enable academic contribution in those processes. The Faculty would organise and accomplish research whose aim will be to study the current political processes in Europe, Balkan and Republic of Macedonia, and to discover the public opinion, traditional and modern media. The Faculty would establish cooperation with international and regional tertiary education institutions, as well as mutual participation in projects, conferences and seminars. For each teaching discipline at the Faculty there are books and study materials adapted to the contents, the scope and the approach related to certain subjects.
