Faculty of Informatics received a donation from the world largest manufacturer of graphic cards NVidia

NVidia has donated two graphic cards GeForce GTX 480 and four books on parallel programming for the CUDA architecture.GeForce GTX 4800 comes with 480 cores and 1536 MB GDDR5 memory.

NVidia has approved the academic partnership application submitted by Professor Toni Stojanovski, and decided to support the project “Use of High-Performance Computing in introduction of financial derivatives in the stock exchanges in South-Eastern Europe”.

Donated equipment will be used by the research team that researches in the scientific area of “High Performance Computing in Computational Finance”. The team consists of professors, research assistants, and MSc students from the Faculty of Informatics and Faculty of Economics.
